I had just moved up here because we are military and decided to try going here. It is dirty and disgusting. There were roaches crawling around, the bathroom never worked, it smelled, and it was old school. The "stylists" are allowed to talk to clients however they want which is rude and they are allowed to eat while doing hair....ewwww! Their products are not salon worthy they get them from big lots( I saw the guy doing my hair buying products from there). They have no new clientele...everyone who goes there has been going there for years. I went in for a cut and blow dry and the owner asked if she could trim my hair and the woman cut 5 inches from my hair. Spare yourself the pain. Never again! There are so many better options! The state needs to shut these people down!!!!!!

***HAIR NIGHTMARE****

I went here to have some braids put in, the woman quoted me a price over the phone. The woman who did my hair gave me a bad attitude the whole time. She was very mean. She was trying to show off and dance in the salon and sing, when she was supposed to be doing my hair. She seemed like a crazy bipolar woman! She put my braids in so tight and crooked that I had hair loss as a result of it. I am not kidding, like my hairline receded a whole inch after having those braids! Also, she charged me a fortune for some crooked, sloppily parted braids. Sisters, please go some where else and spread the word that this place is bad news!

I went in for a relaxer one evening after work in dire need of one since my regular hairstylist (Porsha @ MJ's across the street) was out of town. The owner Larissa agreed to do my hair. She spent time talking to her co-workers and had me sitting for 30 mins before she touched my hair. So she puts something on my hair and places me under the cool dryer for 15 mins. (I though this was kinda weird.) Then she started to relax my hair, I told her that I wanted the name brand relaxer (Affirm) and she used some knock-off brand she said is made here in MD (which I believe took some of my hair out). The application was fine BUT THE SHAMPOO...she dug her nails into my scalp as the water ran through my hair with the relaxer only half way rinsed out. It burned so bad! So I told her to stop using her nails. I notice that she had CHI heat protectant and asked her to use it. She spun my around and (I did not know until later) that she used oil and blow dried my hair. Luckily my hair was long but look much thinner than usual afterward. The next day I had a massive headache and burns throughout my scalp (hair was stuck to my scalp)! I later went to MJ's (2 weeks later) for a flat iron and my stylist says that my hair does not look like it has been relaxed, then I told her that "it sure as hell burned like one!" MORAL: NEVER GO HERE FOR ANYTHING!!! I am going NATURAL because of this bad relaxer!!! I would give it NO STARS if I could.
