I love Tidewater Dental in Lexington Park. I willingly drive 45 minutes, passing several other dental offices, just to go here. Everyone who works there is so friendly and polite. For years I hated going to the dentist and now I finally look forward to my dental appointments!
Tidewater Dental is a wonderful place . We’ve been patients since 2003. The dental staff are always professional & kind. The front office staff are very professional & efficient, too. I really appreciate the promptness of appointments. It is reassuring how clearly the billing and payment options are explained, as well. My favorite hygienist is Amy. She’s very engaging & professional. The Dentist are truly interested in your Dental Care. They are engaging, polite & responsive to your concerns. Definitely recommend Tidewater Dental in Lexington Park!
I did not have a good experience here. Twice upon checkout I had the unpleasant surprise of being told I owed more than was quoted in the estimate. When I questioned the second charge, which was $122 MORE than the $270 I had already paid, the woman at the desk gave me serious attitude and said "It's an ESTIMATE" at least four times. I'm sorry, but an estimating system that is off by $122 is a system that does not work! I then asked for the manager's contact info to get an explanation as to why the estimates were so off. She never returned my email. I called the office and happened to get her on the phone. She claimed she never got my email so I sent it again and "magically" that one got through. She didn't follow up with me for two more weeks. I had to keep chasing her down for an answer. When she finally did get back to me, her response was to resend my treatment case with numbers for the portion the patient owes readjusted higher. That's it. No explanation as to why their numbers were so off the first time. Which makes me think this is common practice for them. I was pretty disgusted overall by the treatment I received there, so I decided to return to my previous dentist, even though my insurance covered less of their services. I filled out the form for Tidewater to transfer my dental records to my other dentist, and of course, they hadn't done so by my appointment two weeks later. So I had to follow up on that request too. Overall, I think this practice is in need of some major customer service training.
Very timely office. I like that they set up the appointment when they take you back. Amy was my hygienist and she was excellent.
I enjoy my visits to Tidewater, no matter the procedure!
I love to carry on with Dr. Todd. He makes you laugh and smile throughout your procedures! The staff are courteous, friendly and know their jobs well. You can get appointments fairly easily and without a 6-month wait!
