Worse nursing home I have seen. How this place stays open is beyond me.
During an illness of my father , he was placed into Rehabilitation and I worked with the staff and he was released a little early in my opinion because of insurance reasons. I can honestly say the staff agreed . With in one month my father had a relapse, after being in the hospital for a short time he had to go back to Rehabilitation again at this facility. Once again I worked with the staff and my father has now been 2 years free and clear of health issues and maintaining a normal standard of living thanks to the help of this Rehabilitation Center. Sometimes you can't just rely on a rehabilitation center but you have to be active in helping your loved one to be rehabilitated. We need to take responsibility for our elderly we can't just rely on a rehabilitation center
My mom is a resident and has adapted very well. The staff seems to be great and when I come visit, she is always doing an activity. This is exactly what I had hoped for. They have lovely patios and a resident dog that brightens the resident's days! They are even taking my mom on a vacation to Florida and she is super excited, something I haven't seen since 2014 when she first got sick!!! I would highly recommend Chesapeake Shores for your loved one.
They take good care of my Aunt with her speech and exercise, she is able to help herself more and more. She love living there.
