f. The hotel has thick walls; most places like this do not have solid, relatively sound proof walls! The only time i heard other guests was a group that was in the room next door to mine. They were so loud, they could be heard from the front desk, and even then the noise was much quieter inside my room.

d. I was on the 1st floor facing the parking lot. The blackout curtains are VERY good, but the crack between them was on a perfect trajectory such that the bright sodium lights in the parking light shown right on the pillows where my eyes are at night. It woke me up several times.

e. I got very poor cellphone reception in my room. I had to go out into the parking lot to make any phone calls. I guess that's the price you pay for those nice, thick, soundproof walls.

Pros:

g. The windows have screens and they open! It was sooo so nice to enjoy a nice breeze and natural air during the day! My cat appreciated it too, he would sit in the windowsill every afternoon!

I stayed here from June 5th 2017 through August 4th 2017.

d. The price is very competitive.

a. There is an odor that I'm pretty sure is coming from the 1st floor shower drain system. There is no way for me to check, but I think there must not be a trap installed, so the smell is able to come back into the room. The smell mostly dissipated when I closed my drain everyday except when actively showering, and left the windows open to air out. This was pretty inconvenient and unpleasant.

Cons:

c. The laundry facilities all seem to work; no "dud" machines. The front desk always had rolls of quarters you could buy to do your laundry without worrying about the bank!

The staff were as sweet as could be but did not seem to have much in the way of training. The rooms smelled heavily of smoke and the first floor was very loud most of the night.

e. The staff was very sweet to my cat.

A few suggestions for small improvements; as a single woman staying here, I would have appreciated a higher floor. I also had several instances where my keycard didn't work on the side and back door. Once again, this is a safety issue for a woman traveling alone. It would also be great to have sheer curtains with the black outs in the 1st floor rooms. That way I could open the windows and enjoy the breeze but still maintain some privacy from everyone walking through the lot. If you pick up a kit of kitchen things (plates and pots and pans etc) and you are missing them, just ask the front desk! They have spares, no need to suffer!!

b. The breakfast runs out. Even leaving for work as early as 6 am, there would be no coffee in the carafes sometimes. At 9 am? Not a chance!

I'm here right now at the extended stay of America in Lexington park Maryland and I love the the staff, Lord have mercy I am so sorry that I can't remember they're name's, I believe one of the ladies is head over the house keeping department and I love the new G.M. I feel right at home here.

c. My fridge broke and it took 3 weeks to have it replaced. I had about $50 of groceries go bad. When i reported the fridge the staff member said I would be reimbursed, but this never happened. I had maintenance requests marked "done" twice without the fridge being replaced and had to resubmit.

The front desk employee Dawn is so nice, such a sweet young lady she always has a smile on her face. She always helps a customer regardless of what it is. The rooms are nice each with its own kitchenette n they have breakfast n coffee down in the lobby.

a. Rooms are clean and have sufficient space and storage.

Front desk, housekeeping, everyone who works here go out to make you feel like you're more than a paying customer. Very friendly and clean place.

b. The Staff is pleasant, eager to help and very polite.

Overall the quality of my stay was commensurate with the price. For places like these that are more about budget than luxury, its rare to find such exceedingly service-minded folks. I added a star to what my rating would have been purely thanks to the staff.
