I was in room 415, spacious enough for my needs with a very comfortable bed. Great for business travel. There is a nice work surface for spreading out with your computer and notes. Bathrooms we're clean and spacious enough. Service was excellent the staff was very polite and helpful. They have an onsite gym and indoor pool. The pool is extremely small so no laps, but it was good enough to take a dip in. The gym was also small but no one used it while I was there and they have enough cardio equipment and free weights there to get a decent sweat in while on the road. The breakfast in the morning was a nice touch and had the essentials of a warm breakfast. Eggs bacon sausage waffle maker and then the usual continental stuff. Overall a great experience for business travel.
Very comfortable mattress, clean room, good location. Front desk staff was brief and the housekeeper knocked and yelled "housekeeping!" on a door with a Do Not Disturb sign, which really defeats the purpose. Also, they slid our receipt under the door of the room in the middle of the night, which they claimed was a convenience to make checkout easier, but was also kind of weird and I think was so they didn't have to pay front desk staff to actually be there to check us out. Because several times there was no front desk staff. We didn't go to it, but they do offer continental breakfast.
The mattress pad's elastic isn't big enough to wrap around the corners of the mattress, so it shifts around a lot and that's annoying. There was also a spot on the bathroom floor where it hadn't been swept, so some hair from the previous guest was still there. I found two (very tiny) spiders; one on the bathroom trash can and one on the wall near the bed. Breakfast is pretty meh. I could hear my neighbors talking loudly and one had a loud phone conversation at 1 AM that kept me awake. It's very easy to hear noise from the hallway, which isn't usually an issue until you have neighbors who don't understand what an inside voice is. The internet is a bit slow and requires you to reconnect every 24 hours. Overall, it's still a nice place to stay. The staff is very nice. I'd stay here again in the future.
I enjoy Marriott hotel in general, more so than any other brands. This hotel has been renovated and it is very nice inside. Breakfast is decent and it's convenient if you are visiting NAS Pax River.
